Tunisian Actress

Souhir Ben Amara is a talented Tunisian actress celebrated for her work in theater, film, and television. She has taken on a diverse range of roles and collaborated with some of Tunisia's most esteemed directors.
Her passion for the arts began in childhood, and after completing her Baccalaureate, she pursued studies at the Higher Institute of Media and Arts in Tunisia (ISAM), where she earned a degree in Cinematographic Direction.


In 2008, Souhir gained recognition at the International Festival of Amateur Film of Kelibia (FIFAK), where she won an award for her graduation project, The Cat Has Spoken (Le chat a dit). Her big-screen debut came in 2011 with the film Always Brando, directed by Ridha El Behi, in which she played Zina, a woman who sacrifices her own aspirations to support her partner's dreams.


Souhir's breakthrough performance came in 2013 with the film Millefeuille, directed by Nouri Bouzid, where she portrayed Aicha, a single woman struggling with her life choices during the Tunisian Revolution.
Her television career began in 2008 with a role in a popular Ramadan series, marking the start of her steady ascent. Since then, she has consistently played leading roles during the Ramadan season and has also served as a jury member for various festivals.
